National Scholarships Website of Government of India is single window option where different schemes under which applications for Scholarship from students, submission of application online, processing, approval and disposal of different Scholarships for students are available. National Scholarships Website started as the integrated Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP)
National Scholarships Website Project is started by Government to provide scholarships to needy and eligible student at one place where they can apply and get the proper applicable solution for approval or rejection of the scholarship applications, depending upon eligibility and parameters of the concerned department/ ministry/ authority.
As per the claim of Government this is the accountable, responsive and transparent ‘SMART’ framework for quick and effective disposal of Scholarships applications and direct financial delivery of funds to the applicant beneficiary student. From online registration to delivery of scholarship funds, it goes in the account of applicant without any detriment and without role of any mediator.
The online scholarship Project of National Scholarships Website is for implementing various Scholarships schemes of Ministries and Departments of Central Government and State Governments in India.
Purpose of the Project is to make available and approve the Scholarships of various ministries and Departments to applicable needy students in time at one online platform. And through this the scholars can apply for one scholarship only they can not apply for more than one scholarships.
If the applicant are Persons with Disabilities or Students of minority community or are from backward, SC ST community then they also can apply. The other students of General categories or girls and all kind of applicants can apply and proceed to get Scholarships.
